Terms of service
Last updated 22 July 2026
These terms govern your use of NumberPilot. They are deliberately short and written in plain language, but they are the agreement between us — please read them.
Acceptance of these terms
By using NumberPilot you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What NumberPilot provides
NumberPilot provides free, browser-based calculators that produce estimates for financial and everyday arithmetic, together with explanatory material about how each estimate is produced.
No account is required and no fee is charged for access.
Not financial advice
This is the most important clause on the page.
Nothing on NumberPilot is financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing here should be treated as a recommendation to take or avoid any particular financial action. We are not your adviser, broker, lender, or fiduciary, and using this site creates no such relationship.
The calculators are educational tools. They cannot account for your full circumstances, your jurisdiction's tax rules, a specific lender's fees and conventions, or changes in rates and law over time. Before acting on any figure you see here, consult a qualified professional who can consider your actual situation.
Accuracy and availability
We work to keep the formulas correct and the explanations clear, and we fix errors when they are reported. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
We do not warrant that results will be free from error, that the site will be available without interruption, or that any figure produced here will match a quote, statement, or contract issued by a financial institution.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NumberPilot and anyone involved in producing it will not be liable for any loss or damage — including financial loss, lost profits, lost opportunity, or consequential or indirect damages — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or anything on it.
You are responsible for the financial decisions you make. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Acceptable use
You may use NumberPilot for personal or commercial purposes, including using its results in your own work. You may not:
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the site or the infrastructure serving it;
- scrape or copy the site's content wholesale in order to republish it as your own;
- misrepresent results from these calculators as professional financial advice to others;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law where you are.
Intellectual property
The design, text, explanatory content, and code of this site belong to their respective owners and are protected by copyright. The underlying mathematical formulas are standard and public — nobody owns compound interest — and you are free to use any result you calculate here however you like.
Quoting a short passage with a link back is fine. Republishing whole pages is not.
Advertising and third-party links
This site carries third-party advertising and may link to external websites. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for advertised products, linked sites, or any dealings you have with them. Any transaction you enter into with a third party is between you and them.
How advertising affects your data is described in the privacy policy.
Changes to the site and to these terms
We may add, change, or remove calculators and features at any time, and may revise these terms. Revisions take effect when posted here, and the "last updated" date will change. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
